So for the past month traffic has been horrible in Chicago. There is an extensive amount of construction going on at the same time which makes it almost impossible to go anywhere on the expressways and jams up all of the street traffic because everyone are taking those instead of the expressway. It is the same for the public transportation too. There is construction going on throughout all of the train stops in the city it seems. There was a big back up today everywhere because there is a

convention in town and everyone is using the trains and buses to get around because no one knows the city. Well the city is not prepared for that kind of traffic and it just slows everyone up. Sometimes it takes over an hour just to get downtown and I live ten minutes away by train when they are running ok. Driving down there is just a nightmare and I would just as soon sit on a train with about fifty people to a car stuck at a stand still than get in my car and try to maneuver down there. I really hope it clears up quick because my commute almost double since I started taking the streets and I hate getting up that much earlier.
