MOTHERS DAY

It seems like everyone is forgetting about Mother’s Day. At work we are already getting Father’s day promotional stuff in like the golf gift giveaways we get in every years. I think it is because dads are just that much more hard to shop for than moms. For the longest time all my mom wanted was a clean house, to sleep in, and breakfast and dinner made for her. Of course my dad would still buy her something, jewelry, flowers, very expensive dinners or tickets to a play, but over all it has always been pretty easy. Especially these recent years because we are all older now, she just tells us what she wants. Dads are a much different story. They never know exactly what you want, and my dad in particular likes to be funny and say things like “I am not going to tell you want to get me, if you love me you will know what to get.” Of course he is joking but he likes to see us squirm a bit. This year he decided not to do that though, seeing as how the grill he wanted just might not be there if he took to long to tell us what he wanted.
