EMPTY SUNDAYS
Since Lydia and Dan have been gone, it’s been sort of empty at the dinner table on Sundays at Grandma’s and Granddad’s. They were always starting some argument about the smallest thing. They would do it on purpose too, and everyone would end up with an opinion to express. Yes, life is just not the same without those two in the mix. They were great at playing Charades too. But now Lydia is with Dan in Houston filing bankruptcy cases for anyone who needs their help. Actually I don’t know if he is actually filing, but I do know he enjoys counseling people who get themselves in difficult situations with their homes and livelihoods sometimes on the line. They do come back often though, and it’s always a party, or more of a big huge dinner and family get together over at the Grandparents. I think I will start planning my vacation and I will go to Houston and visit them. They keep telling everyone that we should throw a big Sunday bash at their place.
